A Dead Tree on Top of a Hill

Amnh and Eve from Sarawak were here 2 days ago to attend a course. Since Amnh showed a little interest in my activity of spirit hunting, I thought why not show her a taste of the real thing in Kota Kinabalu.

Smn had told me once about a dead tree on top of a hill near King Fisher Park. He told me many people had tried to cut it down but those who tried had suffered misfortune, health problem and even death. He wanted me to check it out. He drew me a map of the direction of the hill.

That day after course I invited Amnh and Eve to go for dinner at Gayang, a seafood restaurant in Tuaran. I asked M and R to join the dinner as well, so that I could introduce them to Amnh, and she could understand their characters and their capabilties.

M picked us up around 7.15 pm and we drove off to Gayang. M was driving the car, while I was seated at the front passenger seat, and R, Amnh and Eve were seated at the rear passenger seat. While driving M informed me about the light she saw on Sierra Cemetery one week ago was no longer there. So I suggested to her to investigate the light before going to gayang Restaurant. She agreed.

The cemetery was located by the roadside and nearing the cemetery, we couldn't see any light coming from the cemetery. It was dark like the night we went there before. So there was no need for us to stop by and investigate, otherwise it could be a valuable and unforgettable experience for Amnh and Eve. We continued our journey to Gayang Restaurant.

Dinner was great, to my liking. I ordered Dry Butter Prawn, Steamed Red Snapper in Nyonya Sauce, Spicy Crab, Siput Tarik and Stir Fry Mixed Vegetables. I enjoyed the dinner although it cost me around RM172.00, but for 5 people it was worth it.

After dinner I told M to take us to King Fisher Park Ujana. Guided by Smn's Map, it was quite easy to locate the hill with a giant dead tree on top. It was situated next to row of houses. Driving throuh a lane in front of the houses I could see the tree from far. We came close to the foot of the hill. The hill was about 150 to 200 feet hihg and it was full of thick bushes and trees. I found out that there was no track leading towards the tree.

I asked R how are we to climb the hill with thick bushes. He just didn't reply. He was engrossed with the hill I guess. While Amnh, I could hear her yawn. Big yawns several times. She was bored, I thought. I guess sprit hunting is not her cup of tea. While Eve, she was very much into it, gazing through the car windows, as if trying to locate any spirit.

While M looking through her rearview mirror, she saw a spirit, at the end of the lane, behind our car, about 15 to 20 metre away. The spirit looked like a young man, thin, in his early 20's. Standing motionless staring at us. But she didn't tell us she saw a spirit at this time. She just kept quite.

Since there was nothing much we could do, we decided that the best thing was to return during day time to figure out how we could climb the hill. So I told M to reverse the car.

She reversed the car slowly and cautiously, but even that she almost hit a van, which was parked by the roadside. Seeing a spirit behind the car I guess she was cautious not to bump into the spirit, otherwise one those who are sitting at the back passenger seat could be possessed by the spirit.

We left the lane safely, and drove back to Kota Kinabalu city centre. Before leaving King Fisher Park, at a corner of a house, R saw a ghost. Quickly he announced "There is a ghost there! Look!" and pointed to the direction where he saw it. M said, "Where is it?". R replied, "Behind the fence". I looked at the house but I couldn't see it. Eve and Amnh looked at it but didn't see anything either. Whereas M, as she was driving fast, she didn't have the chance to look at it.

Amnh then said "I want to sleep" ang gave another big yawn. We must be killing her to boredom.

What R saw was a dark, 25 feet tall entity, short hair, standing and about to move his feet to cross the fence and the street. Maybe he saw us, so he let us passed by. Could M have stopped the car, may be we could investigate further..but M just continued driving...

We dropped Eve and Amnh at their hotel lobby. Eve said to me, "When you come to Kuching we will take you ghost hunting".

Wow. I like the idea.... maybe my team will go to Kuching for spirit hunting. Maybe a different kind of spirit could be found.

The following day, I informed Smn that I have found the tree, but I was unable to climb the hill as there was no track on it and it was full of thick bushes. I need someone to clear up the bush first. Maybe I will hire some Indonesian worker to make a track for me so I could climb the hill one day.

Smn then told me, "A friend of mine told me once that, he saw a giant figure with one leg on top of the hill in King Fisher Park and his other leg on the hill behind University Malaysia Sabah (about 2-3KM away)".

I didn't tell what R saw to Smn. Could what R saw confirm Smn's story?

{The End}
